Free scholarships for studying in Turkey

 

Many students are searching for free scholarships in Turkey, which would save them the cost of tuition and ultimately lead to a degree that can help them achieve their dream job at a prominent company. Ibn Khaldun Social Sciences Scholarship

It is worth noting that this is a fully-funded scholarship that covers all study costs, Turkish language study costs, health insurance, monthly allowance, accommodation, and travel tickets to and from the country of residence

 

Ali Koc Science and Technology Scholarship:

This scholarship targets students who wish to join one of the Turkish universities and pursue their educational journey in the field of science and technology. It is available to all non-Turkish students from all over the world who have a GPA of not less than 80% in their bachelor’s degree.

 

Yunus Emre Turkish Language Scholarship Program:

This scholarship targets undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral students who wish to study Turkish language in Turkey. This scholarship, like other Turkish scholarships, covers all study expenses in addition to Turkish language courses. Applicants for this scholarship are expected to have a great passion for studying Turkish language, in addition to achieving a GPA of not less than 70% in the academic stage preceding the stage they will attend. The language programs affiliated with this scholarship are taught at both Sabanci and Boğaziçi universities.

 

Ibn Sina Medical Sciences Scholarship:

This scholarship targets both undergraduate and graduate students who wish to study one of the medical specialties, which may include, but are not limited to: dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine. Graduate students who wish to apply for this scholarship must provide a certificate from their country equivalent to the ALES certificate, which is the Turkish certificate for admission to graduate programs “Academic Staff and Graduate Education Test conducted”. It is worth noting that the most important universities covered by the Ibn Sina Medical Sciences Program are Hacettepe University and the University of Ankara.

5- Islamic Studies Scholarship Program

The Islamic Theology Scholarship Programme targets students interested in religious studies. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must have a GPA of at least 70% in their undergraduate studies and can apply for Master’s or Doctoral studies at Cukurova University. Although the scholarship targets students of religious studies in general, it is rare to find Turkish universities that teach religious specializations other than Islam.

 

6- Excellence in Sports Scholarship Program

The Excellence in Sports Scholarship Program differs from the other scholarships mentioned above, as it targets students who are studying at their own expense at one of the Turkish universities and have shown exceptional athletic performance and provided evidence of their financial need. Applications for this scholarship can be made through the Turkish government’s scholarship website.

 

7- Sabancı University Graduate Scholarships

Sabancı University is one of the most important Turkish universities that focuses on innovation and research, offering scholarships for students enrolled in one of the university’s Master’s or Doctoral programs. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, on-campus accommodation, and a monthly stipend of 1050 Turkish liras for ten months. If the student wishes to stay off-campus, they will receive a transportation allowance of up to 500 Turkish liras per month.

 

8- TÜBITAK Graduate Scholarship Program

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK) offers annual scholarships to international students who wish to obtain a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Turkey. The scholarship is available in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, technology, agricultural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, as well as non-clinical medical sciences. Students who receive this scholarship can study at any university in Turkey, where the scholarship covers the cost of tuition up to 2000 Turkish liras, in addition to a monthly allowance of up to 1500 Turkish liras for Master’s students and 1800 Turkish liras for Doctoral students. Additionally, health insurance, travel expenses, and other related expenses are also covered.

9.Istanbul Sehir University Scholarship for Social Sciences:

Istanbul Sehir University offers this scholarship to most graduate students who have been accepted into one of the social science specializations. The scholarship provides several benefits, including full coverage of tuition fees, a monthly living stipend ranging from 500-1250 Turkish lira for 21 months, in addition to free meals, health insurance, and even a laptop computer. Other grants are also provided by the Scientific and Technological Research Council.

 

10.Istanbul Sehir University Scholarship for Natural and Applied Sciences:

This scholarship is also available to most graduate students who have been accepted into Istanbul Sehir University to study one of the natural and applied science specializations. It is known to be one of the most competitive scholarships as it is offered to a very limited number of students after a detailed evaluation of all applications for this specialization. Students who receive this scholarship can also work as academic assistants for 20 hours per week while studying. They can also receive additional support from their supervisors if

 

they are involved in any funded research projects.
